New trends include salads, soups and dips, burgers and hot dogs, and desserts.
The news24.com understands that outback house salads, which include a chicken salad, potato salad, cornbread and banana bread, are popular among consumers.

The popularity of these salads has been on the rise since a rise in interest in home cooking has resulted in more people opting for home cooking.
A common theme among the new trends is the use of coconut oil in salads.
“There’s a lot of interest in coconut oil, it’s become the go-to ingredient,” said the saleswoman, who asked not to be named.
It is believed that outbacks house salad is popular with people who are looking for a healthier alternative to pasta or rice.
The new trend has been popular in Sydney and Perth and in Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
There are currently more than 200 different types of outback salad, but there are also a range of vegan outbacks salad options.
One popular option is a vegan version of the popular “Cherry Pie” outback, which has been around for more than 50 years.
Other popular vegan outback salads include the “Nanny State” salad, which includes coconut cream cheese, a banana bread and peanut butter.
“People who like to have a lot more flavour in their food, like that, have found out about the coconut cream,” the salesperson said.
“So the coconut is in there and you can have that flavour in your food.”
A new trend among consumers is the addition of spices and herbs.
People have been adding herbs and spices to their outback cooking for years.
In the Northern Territory, for example, there are a number of recipes where you add garlic, parsley, thyme and rosemary to the salad.
However, in the southern region of Queensland, a recent trend has seen many people adding parsley and parsnip.
Another popular ingredient is the sweet potato.
This ingredient has been a popular ingredient for many years, especially in the Goldfields, where the vegetable has been used to create a variety of desserts.
A recent trend in the Australian capital city of Canberra is for residents to add maple syrup to their salads.
